Abril Nuñez

Abril Nunez is a Venezuelan violinist who has recently graduated from Duquesne University with her Master's Degree in Music Performance. She began her musical journey at a young age and gained valuable orchestral experience as a violinist through her involvement in "El Sistema" (National Network of Youth and Children Orchestras and Choirs of Venezuela). Her gratitude for her music career lies in the opportunities to learn and adapt to the cultures of different countries, as well as to share her knowledge and love for music and violin playing, mentoring youth orchestra sectionals, and teaching students of various ages in Venezuela, Peru, Chile, Japan, and the United States. Abril has had the opportunity to attend and perform at numerous music festivals on a global scale, including the International Festival Youth Orchestra in San Diego (USA), Winter Festival Campus do Jordao (Brazil), and Ohio Light Opera in Wooster, Ohio. She has also joined the Yaracuy Youth Symphony Orchestra's tour in Bogota, Colombia, and was part of the Municipal Symphony Orchestra of Caracas' international tour with PEACE BOAT, performing in several countries in Asia and Europe. She is currently a member of the Canton Symphony Orchestra and Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra, and ahs performed with Wheeling Symphony Orchestra, Erie Philharmonic, Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, Washington Symphony, Altoona Symphony Orchestra, and the Butler County Symphony Orchestra.
