Dr. Matthew Rush is a percussionist and educator living near Pittsburgh, PA. He currently serves as Adjunct Instructor of Percussion at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA and is a member of the percussion staff at Norwin High School in North Huntingdon. He holds a Doctor of Musical Arts in Percussion Performance from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln (2018) where he served as a teaching assistant in percussion and music theory, and also holds degrees from Texas Christian University (MM - 08) and Indiana University of Pennsylvania (BSEd - 06). Dr. Rush has nearly a decade of experience teaching percussion in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas as a percussion/band director and lesson teacher and currently maintains a studio of private students from the Norwin School District and through the Monroeville Music Lesson Center, where he has taught since Spring of 2021.
