Angel Romero is a native of Houston Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree from Houston Baptist University and recently completed his masters at Yale University where he performed the roles of Triquet Eugene Onegin, Tamino/The Magic Flute and the Fisherman/Rossignol. This season he has joined the prestigious Resident Artist Program for Pittsburgh Opera. This year he will perform Oronte/Alcina, Remenendado/Carmen and Flavio/Norma. This summer he was seen as an Apprentce Artist with Santa Fe Opera and covered the role of the Prune Man in La Boheme. While an Apprentice Artist at Central City Opera last summer he performed Ruiz /Il trovatore and Monostatos/The Magic Flute. Other recent performances include the Governor/Vanderdender with Easter Connecticut Symphony and Tenor Soloist in Beethoven's Ninth Symphony for the Yale Philharmonia under the baton of Marin Alsop.
